Reflection- The Basureros

There are lots of people around us who have no work, we can really relate to the story because we see these people every day, for instance in the traffic area, there are lots of people, most of the them are teenagers who are out of school youth begging for any amount to buy for food, we pity for these children but then we normally think to ourselves that there are lots of opportunity to earn something for food, like gasoline attendants, a work from the laundry shop, washing of dishes, etc… we neglect these people but in our hearts we care for them, and as we look at them, we promise to ourselves to strive hard in school or in work for the future for our family.

The story can happen to me, but luckily I’m still leaving with my parents embracing the moments that we share every day. I can see these basureros in the streets every day, though I look at them negatively but I always bear in mind that not all basureros are bad, they have a story to tell.

Even the darkest side of life, cannot change the beauty of one’s heart. There are successful people in our generation today that despite of the dark side of their lives they still continue to strive hard to reach the top. Most of us are discourage to go to school because of poverty but this should not be the reason behind for our failure in the future. We must learn to hope for things, have faith, and continue to the right path, for you are lucky enough that you are not a basurero.
